About this course
Course Snapshot
After successfully completing the training, you will have achieved what is referred to as a 'novice-level' understanding of how to provide safer healthcare.
Yuwahn Wupin is made up of five modules.
These reflect the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Curriculum Framework's five interconnected cultural capabilities in its Graduate Cultural Capability Model:
- Respect
- Communication
- Safety & Quality
- Reflection
- Advocacy
The model is based on two important principles:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients are at the centre of health delivery; and
- The ultimate delivery goal is to enable better health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
This course is designed for people working in health or human services fields however people from other industries may also benefit from the training.
