Griffith University’s Academic Bootcamps are highly effective, intensive four-day courses run in the September school holidays, designed to help you prepare for your Chemistry external exams.

Over the four days, you’ll revise and consolidate your understanding of the course content for Unit 3 and 4. Each session will be dedicated to one of these topics and you will complete a series of questions that have been seen on past papers and be shown how to approach these questions.

This course is designed as an interactive by Teams-based workshops and is delivered by highly experienced senior Chemistry teachers.

Each day will be structured as follows:

Who are the course facilitators?

Grant Grierson

Grant Grierson is a passionate and experienced Secondary Educator specialising in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and STEM. This is his second year as the Chemistry Lead for the online September Bootcamps run by Science on the Go! Grant holds a Bachelor of Science (Wildlife Biology and Ecology), a Post Graduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth and Space) and a Master of Education (Educational Leadership). In his teaching he has previously held the roles of Biology Lead Teacher, Head of Science, Academic Coordinator (Junior and Secondary), Deputy Head Teacher, and currently holds the roles of Chemistry Lead Teacher and Head of E-Learning at his school. He is certified as an ADOBE Creative Educator, Apple Teacher, Microsoft Certified Educator, certified VEX Robotics Coach, and a certified G Suite Administrator through Google’s Education platform.

Mason Stewart

Mason Stewart holds a Bachelor of Education and is a current high school teacher specialising in senior mathematics, chemistry and physics. Mason loves to integrate both his passions of the sciences and music into his classrooms to create a fun and engaging learning environment.
