About this course
Course Snapshot
The course has been developed to help you achieve specific learning outcomes. By the end of the course you should be able to:
- Implement solutions for profiling, cleaning, and transforming data
- Designing and building scalable and effective data models
- Implementing the advanced analytics capabilities
- Manage and secure data assets
As the amount of data grows, so does the need for data analysts. In this course, you will learn about the life and journey of a data analyst, and the skills, tasks, and processes they go through in order to tell a story with data so that trusted business decisions can be made.
A data analyst knows:
- how to organise information and distill it into something relevant and comprehensible
- how to gather the right data
- what to do with the data - in other words, how to make sense of the data in the case of data overload.
You will learn how to perform this role as well as how to use the suite of Power BI tools and services to tell a compelling story through reports and dashboards, and the need for true BI in the enterprise.
In order to get the most out of this course, you should already have:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and SQL Database.
- Experience programming with C# or Python.
If you have no previous programming experience, we recommend you learn MS Excel and SQL Database before starting this course.
Upon completion of this course earn a Digital Badge.
This course is made up of a series of modules that are best used in sequence. While there is no set timetable with this course, a study plan is a valuable tool to help manage your time, stay motivated and that all materials a covered.
Everyone learns at a different pace, and the times for each module are an average. It may take you less or more time depending on what you already know and previous experiences.
