- Project management fundamentals and lifecycle
- Best practice principles of project design and planning
- Effective stakeholder engagement and communication
- Project risk management - avoiding the unexpected
- Measuring and reporting on project performance
- How project management and change management interrelate
Change Management Essentials (Day 2):
- Why change fails
- Managing change resistance
- Preparing for project-related organisational change
- Managing and reinforcing different types of change
- Change leadership
This course is designed for individuals who aspire to or are responsible for planning, managing, and executing various project elements. This can include senior and mid-level managers, as well as those in diverse roles who contribute to organisational projects.
NOTE: This course is for Queensland public sector employees only.
Participants will receive a digital badge upon successful completion of the course, which they can share on various online platforms to showcase their skills and achievements.
Please note, to be eligible for a digital badge you must attend all sessions and complete all associated learning content/activities.

Assoc. Prof Alannah Rafferty
Associate Professor Alannah Rafferty’s primary research interests focus on organisational change, including change readiness, change attitudes, and leadership dynamics such as transformational leadership and abusive supervision. Her work also explores stress, coping mechanisms, and health and well-being during organisational transitions. She teaches courses in Organisational Change and Strategic Human Resource Management and has collaborated extensively with public and private organisations on projects related to organisational development, leadership enhancement, and workplace health and well-being, with a particular emphasis on mental health.
